Nuwandhika Senarathne, a celebrated Sri Lankan singer, holds an Honours Degree in Music from the University of the Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo. She has achieved the status of a Class A singer with the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC), reflecting her exceptional vocal skills. Senarathne’s career has been marked by her unique vocal talents and charisma, earning her widespread acclaim. A significant milestone in her career was her achievement as the runner-up in Season 9 of “Derana Dream Star”, a popular reality TV show in Sri Lanka. This accomplishment played a pivotal role in enhancing her reputation in the music industry. Furthermore, she received her first major award nomination at the Raigam Tele’es Awards for 2019–2020 as Best Teledrama Singer – Female for the theme song of Asanwara Wessak. She later won the Best Singing Award at the State Music Awards (2024) for the same song, followed by two major honors in 2025: the Sarasavi Award for Best Female Singer for Giri Sirasa and the Calin Award for Most Popular Young Female Singer.
Nuwandhika’s home is the beautiful village of Narammala in the District of Kurunegala in Sri Lanka. Her Primary and Secondary education was at Mayurapada Primary and Central Schools in Kurunegala.
